Originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Robert Zaichkowski has been passionate about bicycles, numbers, and civic engagement since his childhood. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bishop's University in 2008, has a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and is bilingual in English and French. He lives in Toronto, Ontario where he works as an Accounting Manager for Grafton Apparel and volunteers with various community causes including past work with Cycle Toronto and Community Bikeways (which he helped co-found in 2020). He is the founder of the Open Streets Toronto campaign which aims to bring back open streets to Toronto; an event which closes roads to allow for walking, cycling, and physical activity.
